Lulu & Georgia + Mindy Mae's Market

I've spent the majority of my spare time the past two months illustrating the 20+ guests invited to the Lulu & Georgia + Mindy Mae's Market #SaludtoSLC luncheon in Salt Lake City. Despite numb fingers from so much drawing, I had a blast and was so happy each invitee loved her illustration! Below are a few shots from the event (including me working on some additional live illustrations).

Huge thanks to Lulu & Georgia and Mindy Mae's Market for having me!

Who says drinking and drawing don't mix? I'd never turn down a mimosa!

My First Post.

I don't know where to begin, except to say I'm so glad to finally be drawing again!

Not too long ago, I sat down for the first time in a very long while and sketched. Somewhere along the way, I had thrown my love of drawing aside to focus on other things (law school, grad school, etc.). Well, if I've learned anything in my 30+ years, it's that we should make time for things that light us up. Things we don't mind staying up all night doing. Things that make us get up at 5 a.m. because we can't wait to get back to them. That's what drawing is for me.

Anyway, it seemed appropriate to feature this Zac Posen-inspired lady in my first post, as she is the product of that first sketching session I mentioned above. She helped remind me of my love of drawing, and will always remain one of my favorites.
